Senior Special Projects Coordinator
Mrs. Lucia Goicoechea-Hernández has worked for the Connecticut General Assembly since September 2000. She currently serves as one of the Senior Special Projects Coordinators for the Civic Engagement Division. Prior to working for the Connecticut General Assembly Mrs. Goicoechea-Hernández served as the Executive Assistant to the Principal at SAND Elementary School, was the Executive Director for the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities for the City of New Britain and worked for a brief time for the Town of West Hartford in the Human Resources Office.
She has a Master’s Degree in Human Service Administration from Antioch New England Graduate School and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services from Southern New Hampshire University. Ms. Goicoechea-Hernández graduated from the Women’s Campaign School at Yale in June 2016. Ms. Goicoechea-Hernández lives in the Town of Windsor with her husband Lucas, son Lucas Miguel and their much-adored Chihuahua named Champ.
